Experience
Note: Please communicate with me regarding days and times, as my schedule is currently slightly unpredicatable. Thanks! I love being a tutor because one on one attention in a subject one struggles with can be so incredibly transformational and can make learning fun. It is amazing to help as a person develops their skills and conquers difficult concepts, assignments, and lessons. Previous tutoring experience: 2015: Juvenile Hall Tutor/Mentor: High School English and Math; career planning, life reassessments, and counseling 2014-2015: NCLB Tutor: Elementary and Jr. High, All Subjects

Hobbies
I see life as an adventure! Everyday we have new opportunities to learn, explore, grow, and have fun! I love to be outside hiking and camping or inside reading a great book or cooking something new. I also love to create art, in many forms. Life is about living and everything that we learn enhances that. I love working with people, especially children, because life can be so difficult to navigate. It's so important that children are taught that they can overcome the challenges and adversity they face and find the strength and determination within themselves to press forward. I am working on a graduate degree in Religion because I am so passionate about how the things that we believe about ourselves, others, and our world affect our lives, the lives of our neighbors, and the wellbeing of our planet. I believe that when we find our passions and those things that motivate us to act on behalf of others, we find what makes us human and what can lead us to happy, healthy, fullfilled lives that both benefit us and benefit all those whom we encounter. I am passionate about social justice and advocacy of all forms. We are not living into the fullness of what it means to be human if we are not deeply concerned with the well-being of all other living things.
